Hey! I’m Dominik, a 27 year old photographer. I was born 1989 near Tübingen in Southern Germany. I grew up in a small village with three other siblings. In my childhood, I got in touch with photography and drawing. I started shooting slide film with my dad’s old SLR camera. In 2003 I got my first digital camera. After finishing high school in 2008, I started getting into web design and worked in this business for about a year. I noticed, that I would prefer to do something more creative and even more diversified, so I went to photography school for three years. Since then (2012) I work as an employed photographer in a studio in Southern Germany. My future goals are to find more time for personal projects. I got to shoot three personal studio projects in 2016 and would like to beat this number in 2017.

What inspired you to get into photography?
I started with shooting slide film with my dad’s old SLR camera. Since then I find it really fascinating to capture scenes as close as possible to how you really perceived them. It’s cool to use technical settings as well as your creativity to discover new possibilities and effects.
What is one photo that you are most proud of and why?
It’s this photo I shot for a personal project in early 2016. I like it a lot because it was not too much planning involved, but it turned out exactly the way I imagined.
